I am going crazy here with this computer. On Oct. Yesterday I was having some issues with my online game so I figured it was due to the new OS. I done a fresh format again and installed Windows 8 Pro again and got all the updates and reinstalled the Windows Media Center. I installed many of my applications including my game. I realized that it wasn’t the fault of windows 8.

My problem is I have all the updates and latest display drivers but when I click on the “download icon” in the Store I get the message;. Something happened and the install of Windows 8. I have tried many fixes on the internet and none have worked. Please tell me I am allowed to install the Windows 8. As this update is free to download from the Store, you can download this upgrade more than once. Let us follow these steps one by one and check to ensure that the upgrade is visible in the Store.

Click on View Installed Updates. Search for KB and uninstall this update. Once this update is uninstalled, remember to restart the computer. Click this link and manually download this update. Update is available that prepares Windows 8 and Windows RT-based computers for the update to Windows 8.

Once this update is installed, remember to restart the computer. After the restart, access the Store and you will find the download link to Windows 8. Why can’t I find the update in the Store?
